If you are a local business or sporting or social group, you are encouraged to enter the Pageant. We are looking for enthusiastic entries that bring joy to our community. We are seeking the input from these groups to put their imagination to work and develop a float depicting nursery rhyme themes, children’s movies or other interesting floats.
You have about 2 months to prepare your float.

As with all events we seek the communities assistance to pay for the event. If you are interested in contributing to the financial cost of the event, please contact Rob on the email provided.
This year’s pageant will be held on Saturday, December 9,2017 commencing in Bridge Terrace.
Floats will be assembling from 5pm with the pageant parade set to start at 6.30pm. It will conclude with the arrival of Father Christmas at Warland Reserve at about 7.45pm.
The pageant will be followed by the Carols by the Sea presentation.
2017 will be the 2nd year the pageant will be run by the Rotary Clubs. Past years’ events have been organised by the Victor Harbor & District Business Association.
Prizes will be awarded in five categories:
- Nativity – depicting the celebration of the birth of Christ
- Christmas – depicts the modern celebration of Christmas
- Musical – incorporates a major element of live or amplified
- Essential Services – decorated essential services vehicles
- Innovative – novel, original or entertaining theme
Information for float organisations will be available for collection after 11am on Monday, December 4 from the Victor Harbor RAA office, 66 Ocean Street, Victor Harbor.
